The Nourishing Lane is owned and operated by Andrea Lane, a plant-based, health-supportive private chef. She brings her knowledge of Macrobiotics, Ayurveda, Raw and Living Foods and classic French cooking techniques to make delicious and nutritious meals for her clients. Using local, seasonal and organic ingredients when possible.
Born and raised in Burlington, Ontario, Andrea always felt at home in the kitchen. Making the commitment to a plant-based diet at the age of 12, she has never looked back. She spent much of her childhood, reading recipe books, watching cooking shows and recreating recipes on her own.
After completing her undergraduate degree at the University of Guelph, majoring in Marketing Management. Andrea built a career working in Corporate Advertising. In 2009, she completed her 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Certificate and taught Yoga in the Guelph community for 3 years. After 9 years in Corporate Advertising, Andrea decided it was time to follow her passion for healthy plant-based food. In 2013, she enrolled in the Professional Chef Program at The Natural Epicurean Academy of Culinary Arts in Austin, Texas.
Andrea is now helping busy families in the Greater Toronto Area eat healthier plant-based meals. Her greatest level of accomplishment comes from helping those with serious illness to feel better and thrive. Specializing in healing the body with whole-foods, Andrea can work with you to address concerns and heal your body from the inside out using high quality organic ingredients.
